Cinema @ 3 St Peters opened its doors on 8th January 2020 with a showing of possibly the most famous US noir, The Big Sleep, directed by Howard Hawks.
Cinema @ 3 St Peters is not a commercial enterprise showing the same two or three films which you can see up and down the country. It is a collaboration between three friends, who aspire to emulate the rich tradition of cinema in Bedford and to show some of the timeless classics which might well have been shown at the Picturedrome, the Plaza and, of course, the Granada which stood next door at 5-9 St Peters until 1990.

We are not film critics and we come from very diverse backgrounds both culturally and geographically. But what we all share is a love of film which has been an ever present part of our lives from school and university film societies to our own family classics. What we also share is a belief that cinema should be a shared pleasure in a stylish and ambient setting.
